What is OMAD?

Eating only one meal a day (OMAD) is a method of controlling how your body obtains and utilizes fuel, similar to other methods of intermittent fasting. In short hell yeah it does…

Ketosis happens when putting your body in a metabolic state which burns fat, instead of food. When your body enters ketosis, it starts converting the fat in your body’s glucose reserves, into molecules called ketones, which are high in energy.

So if you can maintain the discipline necessary to continue eating only one meal a day, the result for me was I lost weight really fast. I also exercise along with intermittent fasting so I get results in very reasonable time.

One meal a day is a weight loss phase eating pattern – in my humble but accurate opinion. It should naturally move to a 16/8 or alternate day fasting pattern. I fast everyday because that’s what works for me, it may be different for you.

Trust me when I tell you that fasting for 16 hours eating god made food, plus exercise will DEFINITELY take off all the weight you need. I found that control over my weight was so EASY after fasting a while that I just know what works

How much weight can you lose by OMAD?

That really depends on you, and how much discipline you bring to the table. Like I said earlier eating just one meal a day all the time, with a fixed time based schedule is going to be tough. I think it prudent to eat that one meal for the day in the afternoon. I would eat at that particular time in the day when I was doing omad. The reasons are obvious. Eating to soon in the day can cause you to get hungry, leading to wanting to quit.

That seems consistent with how I followed Omad fasting eating at the early part of the afternoon everyday. However once you reach the weight loss target sought after, you no longer need to eat only one meal a day. I recommend transitioning from omad, to the 16/8 method of IF.

At this point you are in maintenance, you no longer need to fast to lose weight aggressively. The focus at this stage of your weight loss journey should be KEEPING THE WEIGHT OFF make sense.

That being said, I have a date with a blackened salmon meal at the steakhouse.

Can Omad Be Dangerous

When to eat on Omad fasting diet is very dependent on the person who is following this method of fasting. You do want to be smart about how you approach any new diet regimen.

Consult with your physician and get guidance on the best approach to a highly restrictive meal plan. Because just like there is light and we can see everything clearly making us happy.

Fasting in general is associated with a whole host of positive health benefits that are supported by research. Alternatively when the fasting is very restrictive like with one meal a day, there are negative side effects that users have to be consciously aware.

Long story made incredibly short, use OMAD for weight loss not for maintenance, exercise, and don’t be rigid in your eating schedule – too tough that way. Do that my friend, you should be just fine regarding hitting your weight loss target.
